Wood remains a valuable and viable energy source as it also reduces our dependence on fossil fuels.
Logs have always been a popular solid fuel, requiring very little processing to get to a burnable condition.
Now the technology has advanced to make space and water heating with logs simple, efficient and environmentally friendly.
How does it work?
Modern boilers simplify wood firing using a lambda sensor in the flue gas chamber. Air inlet dampers on the front of the boiler are optimised with motors to give you the best combustion and highest efficiency.
Wood chips are a carbon neutral fuel as the carbon released when the pellets are burnt is cancelled out due to the fact that trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow. Pellets are usually made from highly compressed waste such as sawdust which binds together naturally during the manufacturing process. We recommend pellets sourced from a CHP production facility.
